 A knifeman has killed one individual and wounded seven others close to a UK club.

Early on Sunday morning, members of the emergency services stormed the area surrounding the Eclipse Nightclub on Castle Canyke Road in Bodmin, Cornwall.

Police have now affirmed that a homicide request is in progress.

According to a Cornwall Police statement, On Sunday, April 30, at 3.15 a.m., there was a report of a serious altercation in the Victoria Square area of Castle Canyke Road.

“It was also reported that a knife was in someone’s possession and that a number of people had suffered suspected stab wounds.

A man in his 30s was confirmed dead at the scene as a knifeman goes on the rampage near a UK nightclub, resulting in one death and seven stab wounds. His kin have been informed, and specialized officers are supporting them.

“Without a doubt seven different people have been harmed and taken to clinic to get treatment. None of them are being considered life-threatening at this time.

“On suspicion of murder, attempted murder, and causing grievous bodily harm with intent, a 24-year-old Bodmin man has been arrested. He is still being held by the police at this time.”
