Video: Kai Cenat has been banned on Twitch. He was the most subscribed Twitch streamer of all time.
The popular streamer has tumbled down the streamer leader board and a new top streamer has been crowned.
Jynxzi is now the new top streamer on Twitch. This comes after the ban of popular top streamer Kai Cenat from the live-streaming service.
Kai Cenat became the top streamer on Twitch in 2022. The 21-year-old streamer had over 200,000 active subscribers on his channel and was the third Twitch streamer to reach the milestone.
Cenat’s meteoric rise earned him the "Streamer of the Year" award at the 12th Streamer Awards. He also became the most-subscribed streamer on Twitch of all time, reaching 306,621 active subscribers during its peak.
However, Cenat was banned from Twitch on April 17. This is the fourth time that the streamer has been hit with a ban by the live-streaming service. He previously served a 30-day suspension from Amazon’s streaming service in March 2022.
Twitch has not yet provided a reason for his ban, however, it may only be a temporary suspension. The streamer’s previous infractions led to bans lasting a few days to a month.
Fans of the popular streamer have been confused over the reason for the suspension. There has been speculation that Cenat was banned from Twitch for riding a dirt bike indoors which violates the platform’s community guidelines. Twitch explicitly forbids content that in any way endangers anyone’s life or actions that could potentially lead to physical harm. Riding a motorcycle indoors presumably falls under the definition of endangerment.
In a new development, Dexterto reports that the reason for the suspension is due to "repeated explicit simulated sexual activity in GTA." However, sources have not disclosed how long the ban on Cenat will last.
According to Twitch’s community guidelines, sexually suggestive content is not allowed on the live-streaming service.
"To ensure content on Twitch is appropriate for diverse audiences, sexually suggestive content is prohibited on Twitch,” the community guideline reads. "Evaluations on the sexual suggestiveness of a behavior or activity are independent of user attire and are instead based on the overall surrounding framing and context."
Following Cenat’s suspension, Jynxzi has risen to the top of the streamer charts. Content on his channel is mostly made up of gameplay videos for Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege.
In a recent live stream, Jynxzi responded to the news that he is now the top streamer on Twitch. He tried to call his mother to share the good news but was unfortunately sent to voicemail. The streamer did however share his excitement about the news with his subscribers.
Only time will tell if Jynxzi holds on to the top stop. Kai Cenat may serve out his suspension and reclaim the crown of top streamer in the future.
